Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance is available at Dallas County Hospital for those who need help with medical bills - this includes the uninsured and even the underinsured. Our Patient Access Staff can provide you with an appilication.

If you do qualify, and depending on the situation, your  Financial Assistance will cover all or portions of the cost associated with medically necessary services provided by Dallas County Hospital, including emergency room visits, laboratory work, ambulatory surgery, in/out patient care and any medications given while in our care.

Your Financial Assistance is ONLY accepted at Dallas County Hospital. It is NOT accepted at Mercy Family Care, any of the Specialty Clinics that operate in the Dallas County Hospital building, or outside lab charges.

A separate outpatient Financial Assistance Program is available at our clinics including – DCH Family Medicine Panora and DCH Family Medicine Perry. At these locations, no one will be denied services due to an inability to pay. There is a sliding fee schedule based on family size and income.  For more information, contact 515-465-7587.
