Radiology Technologist - PRN (varied hours; on-call)
June 3, 2026ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback. Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.
• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.
• Capable of performing office and transporting of patients as necessary for patient care.
• Schedules patients.
• Has understanding of and troubleshooting skills as related to PACS and CPSI.
• Participates in professional society (i.e., ISRT or SCD- Area 5)
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma.
• Successful completion of an accredited two year Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
• Maintains active registry status in ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire
