Dietary Aide - Part-time (hours vary between 6:30am-6pm; e/o weekend)
November 21, 2025ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Patient Care and Resident Care
• Check census menu and plan food preparations for correct diets.
• Set up trays according to diet
• Deliver trays to patient areas
• Remove trays from patient areas and cafeteria
• Wash dishes and put away
• Assist with any needed preparations for Spring Valley.
2. Cafeteria
• Check menu and plan food preparations for cafeteria line
• Set up cafeteria for employee break and noon meal.
3. Daily Functions
• Do any plating and pre-prep work as asked
• Set up cafeteria, stock patient areas refrigerator, record daily menu
• Carry out all sanitary and safety rules
4. Helps orientate new employees to department.
In addition to the functions described above, this role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon Dallas County Hospital needs or requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Education/Experience:
Experience preferred, but will train.
• Technical Skills:
Keep daily records and is able to follow written and oral instructions. Written and oral communications skill and measuring skills for recipes.
