Dallas County Hospital Re-Opens South Entrance

Dallas County Hospital is pleased to announce that the Hospital’s Front South Entrance re-opens on September 8th. This entrance had been temporarily closed during the South Parking Lot Renovation.

New additions to the parking lot include a covered entrance with improved access from the parking lot, angle striping, a flag pole, signage and landscaping. Additionally, an Employee Parking section of the south parking lot was also completed. This section is located on the west side of the parking lot, just east of the EMS garage.

Dallas County Hospital asks that patients and visitors continue to utilize the new permanent drive from the frontage road that runs parallel to Hwy 141 along the south end of the lot. Employees, physician clinic staff, nursing students and vendors should now park in the lower level employee parking lot near the EMS garage.

Additionally, in an effort to keep the circle drive area clear from traffic backing up and accessible for patrons wanting Valet services or to drop off passengers at the Front Entrance, Dallas County Hospital has designated three drop off areas for Public Transport Vehicles. (please refer to map)

·        Area A [for all mini-van type vehicles]

·        Area B and C [for both mini-van and bus type vehicles]

·        Area D [no parking/drop off zone only]

Dallas County Hospital wishes to thank you for your patience and understanding during this complicated project. We are excited to complete this renovation and are pleased to provide a more accessible entrance to our patients, visitors and staff.
