Dallas County Hospital Re-Opens South Entrance

Dallas County Hospital is pleased to announce that the Hospital's Front South Entrance is now re-opened. This entrance had been temporarily closed during Phase II of the South Parking Lot Renovation.

All patients and visitors should continue to utilize the new drive entrance from the frontage road on the south end of the lot. Valet will now be stationed in the Atrium at the front entrance and will continue to monitor the parking lot to direct patients and visitors to the designated parking areas.

The staff of Dallas County Hospital would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this lengthy process. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the upcoming year.

The Latest Advancement in the Prevention of Heart Disease and Stroke Comes to Granger:

Granger Assumption Catholic Church will once again be hosting the latest advancement in the prevention of Heart Disease: The Winnebago. The HeartReach Mobile Lab will be coming to the Granger Assumption Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 14th.

Research has shown that men and women who lead healthy lifestyles, including making healthy food choices, getting regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and choosing not to smoke or drink excessively, can significantly decrease their risk of heart disease. The goal of this program is to teach people how to take charge of their heart and vascular health through early detection and discussing heart risk factors.

A variety of screening options are available from $35 to $135 to meet individual needs.  Appointments are required for this event; please call 1-866-935-5432 to get this important test scheduled. $25 discount coupons are available at the Dallas County Hospital Information Desk or can be printed off at www.iowahealth.org/heartreach.
