Dr. Atul Chawla |
Dr. Mark McGaughey, with The Iowa Heart Center, holds an undergraduate degree from Carleton College in Minnesota, and a medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then completed an internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. McGaughey is board certified in general and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Atul Chawla, with The Iowa Heart Center, joined Iowa Heart in 2001. He holds a medical degree from Christina Medical College, where he also copleted his internship. He then followed up with a residency and cardiology fellowship at Creighton University in Omaha. Dr. Chawla's professional interests include interventional cardiology, performing coronary and peripheral angioplasty, stent placements and other catheterization procedures. Hi is board certified in general interventional cardiology.
